Happy Children’s Montessori in Hillsboro offers a preschool experience for young children who are ready for a hands-on Montessori setting. Families looking for a program that combines early learning with practical independence, creativity, and peer interaction may find this especially appealing for preschool-age children.
Children appear to take part in a wide range of activities that may include learning to read, working with numbers, singing, sewing, and solving simple problems in a child-sized classroom environment. The program also seems to place value on children exploring their interests and learning to do things for themselves, which can be a good fit for families who want a more self-directed early learning experience.
Parents may especially appreciate that the school includes both music and language emphasis, along with a large outdoor play area and an indoor space for active movement year-round. That mix gives children different ways to learn and move, whether they are working quietly at a table, participating in group experiences, or spending time outside.
The setting appears warm and personal, with teachers described as closely involved in each child’s development. Families in Hillsboro looking for a Montessori preschool that feels engaging, organized, and rich in everyday learning may want to ask about age groups, schedules, and enrollment options before visiting.

Heather is an amazing teacher and helped shape our daughter into the best version of herself. She helped grow our daughter into a resourceful, curious, and independent learner. She taught her to sew, sing, read, solve math problems, and most importantly be a creative problem solver. Heather is kind, thoughtful, and will truly know your child inside and out. She is an excellent educator (and as a teacher myself) I would trust her to teach any child and do it with absolute excellence. Sending our daughter to Happy Children’s was the best decision we could have possibly made for our girl.
My daughter has been learning at Happy Children's Montessori since she was 3 years old, and she loves school SO MUCH!!! Ms. Heather is a awesome teacher. She is enthusiastic about teaching and responsible for students. As my daughter's age, she didn't only learn how to independent, but math and reading.
My son has attended this last year and it's been an unforgettable experience for him and for us as parents. The teachers are so organized, kind, patient and they truly love to see the children thriving in their learning and socialization. Montessori methodology, especially executed this well, has been exactly what our son needed and we feel extremely confident that he's laying a strong foundation for future years in how he organizes work, thinks through problems solving, and diligently completes tasks until he masters them. I'm so happy that we found Happy Children's Montessori and we have every intention of sending our other two children as they come of age
Happy Children's Montessori is a great authentic Montessori school with awesome teachers. My son in his first year, picked up self help help skills ,explored new skills, learnt to pursue his interests and learnt so much from being around his peers as well. Apart from overall development, there is a lot of emphasis on music and language which we much appreciate. I love that this school has a big play area (outdoors) and a nice indoor area for kids to be active year round. As the school year ends this week , I would like to thank the teachers Heather and Kaycee for your tremendous efforts towards education , events , concerts , parent classes and a whole lot more.
