My Learning Treehouse Montessori is a Montessori preschool in Auburn that appears well suited for toddlers and preschool-age children who benefit from a structured, hands-on learning environment. Families can expect a school setting that emphasizes independence, practical learning, and time outdoors, with children spending part of the day exploring, learning, and moving through a clear daily routine.
The children’s experience seems to include a structured Montessori curriculum, classroom activities tied to monthly themes, and plenty of outdoor time on an enormous playground. That combination may be especially helpful for young children who enjoy both calm classroom work and active play. Parents may also appreciate that the school appears to communicate classroom focus and upcoming events clearly, which can make it easier to stay involved and understand what children are learning.
Teacher warmth is a recurring strength here. The staff is described as patient, nurturing, and kind, which may be reassuring for families choosing a first school experience or looking for a preschool where children can settle in comfortably. The setting also seems welcoming for children building confidence, curiosity, and early independence. Families have also noted that the program maintains its long-standing Montessori structure while continuing to improve the campus experience.
For parents comparing Montessori preschool in Auburn, this may be a strong fit for little ones who thrive with routine, outdoor play, and a thoughtful classroom environment. Parents may want to ask about age groups, classroom placement, and enrollment details directly with the school.
This place has been incredible for our son. He came in at 4 years old and had a light understanding of numbers, letters, etc. He now knows his ABCs quite well, is writing some words, loves doing math and all the science activities at just 5 years old. The flow of the montessori school for young development is amazing, you can really tell the kids love coming to school and the teachers actually care about the children. They also offer good before/after school programs for those with hours needed for work or other purposes. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
We love this school! I am definitely an overprotective mom, and it is really hard for me to let my guard down when it comes to my kids. This is the third school my 3-year-old has been enrolled in because I found things that made me uncomfortable everywhere else we tried. I can FINALLY feel safe dropping my daughter off every day at My Learning Treehouse! I feel so good when I walk away from her classroom door knowing no one will mistreat her, she will be nurtured, and she will have fun. I truly cannot express how much comfort this place has brought us! My daughter is thriving here, loves her friends and teacher, and her confidence is growing every day. The owner and director, Kanu, is so hands-on and caring. It is not an act for parents; it is true care. We love this school and cannot wait until our youngest is old enough to attend as well. I would recommend it to anyone!
My Learning Treehouse has been an amazing Montessori experience. My child has had the best experience here over the past 3 years and loves going here. This school has the most amazing outdoor area and our kindergarten experience went so well. Highly recommend this school for all 3 - 6 yr olds.
I wish I could give this place 5 stars, but unfortunately it wasn’t a good fit for our daughter. Our child is strong willed and needs support when she’s over stimulated or dysregulated. This school does not support children who need that extra support. They prioritize classroom harmony over child regulation and emotional support. I also find it sad that ever since my child started at this school she would come home and say “I can’t”. This school is great if your child is quiet and can sit still for hours. My child cannot as she is 3 and needs to move around and have toys that stimulate her, not feel limited and told she can’t play with toys or move. I wish the staff and the children here all the best, but it was not a good experience for us. They literally gave up on my daughter after 2 weeks and kicked us out, so please be warned if you start this school they might decide to just give up on you and kick you out at any moment. They referred to her as a “challenge”.
