The Sand Garden

We came this past weekend for a birthday party with our 3- and 4-year-old and they had the BEST time! We are always out doing things with our kids and have been to so many different play places, and we’ve honestly never seen anything quite like The Sand Garden before. Such a fun and unique concept! I was also so impressed with how clean everything was. With a place made for little kids to play, that is always something I notice, and everything felt so clean and well taken care of. We live in the Snohomish area so it’s about an hour drive for us, but we will 100% be making the drive back. Our kids absolutely loved it and have already been talking about going again!

Very Disappointing First Experience We visited today for the first time with our toddler and our entire family, and unfortunately, we were extremely disappointed with the experience. When we arrived, we were told they were at full capacity and asked if we would like to be placed on a waiting list. I completely understand that businesses have capacity limits, and I understand that birthday parties and private events are important for the business. However, families with young children plan their entire day around things like nap times, feeding schedules, travel, and getting everyone out of the house together. If you know that capacity may be limited because of parties or other events, there should be some way to communicate that to parents before they arrive. When your posted hours essentially communicate, “Come anytime between 9 AM and 5 PM,” customers naturally assume they will be able to enter and their children will have an opportunity to play. If admission is actually dependent on capacity, that should be made very clear—or there should be a system where parents can check availability before making the trip. I’m not here to tell anyone how to run their business. I’m sharing this because I hope the management understands the experience from a parent’s perspective. This was our first visit. We rearranged our toddler’s nap and feeding schedule and brought our entire family because we were excited to spend time together and create some memories with our little one. Instead, the first thing we were asked was, “Would you like to be on the waiting list?” This isn’t a restaurant where waiting for a table is simply part of the experience. Parents are bringing little children whose schedules and patience are limited. Your facility is supposed to be part of a fun family experience, and unfortunately, ours ended before it even began. First impressions matter, and sadly, this one left us with no desire to return. I have honestly never given any business a one-star review before. Congratulations—you are officially the first. At this point, I only wish Google offered something below one star. I genuinely hope management takes this feedback seriously and finds a better way to communicate high-capacity periods to families before they arrive. And I especially hope other parents read this experience before planning their visit.

My family is obsessed with the sand garden! Our two kids, 8 and 2, both have a blast playing in the clean sand filled with fun toys. The space is welcoming and perfect space for kids to explore, dig, and create. My kids spend hours playing here, and I love how the open play space encourages imaginative play. We would 100% recommend the sand garden to anyone looking for a fun and welcoming indoor play space for their kids!
