Nurture Montessori is a preschool in Lake Stevens that offers a Montessori-style learning environment for young children. The focus appears to be on hands-on exploration, early academics, and helping children participate at their own pace in a calm, supportive setting.
Children at Nurture Montessori may spend their time tracing letters, working with early math concepts, practicing phonics, and completing other classroom activities that build familiarity with numbers, language, and problem solving. The Montessori approach also suggests plenty of practical learning, so children may be encouraged to clean up, stay organized, and try tasks independently. For parents, that can make this feel more like an early learning school than a casual daycare setting.
The environment comes across as warm and nurturing, with teachers described as patient, caring, and attentive to each child’s needs. That kind of approach may be especially helpful for preschoolers who are new to structured learning or who do best when given time and encouragement to build confidence. The program also appears to support social growth through shared classroom experiences and exposure to different cultures and holidays.
Families looking for a Montessori preschool where children can learn in a thoughtful, orderly classroom may find this a strong fit. It may appeal most to parents who want an educational setting with a balance of academics, independence, and gentle guidance. Since preschool programs can vary, parents may want to confirm current age ranges, scheduling, and enrollment details directly with the school.
We have had a truly wonderful experience here over the last two years! As my son prepares to move on to kindergarten, he is definitely going to miss it so much—and I am already looking forward to sending my second child here as soon as he’s ready for preschool! What makes this Montessori preschool so special is their child-led approach—they teach everything conceptually, especially math and reading, which builds a deep understanding and has noticeably increased his focus. They also place a huge emphasis on building independence and practical life skills, like teaching the kids to clean up after themselves. As parents, we loved their monthly newsletters! They clearly outline what the kids are focusing on, making it easy to stay connected with their learning. On top of that, Kokila makes sure they get fresh, healthy snacks rather than just packaged items. Combined with creative crafts and thoughtful celebrations for all major festivals—including Mother's Day, Father's Day, and culturally diverse holidays, it has provided complete overall growth. Highly recommend!
Nurture Montessori creates such a beautiful environment for children to explore, learn, and grow. The teachers are incredibly nurturing and supportive, patient and help each child build confidence and independence. The Montessori approach encourages curiosity and hands-on learning, making education joyful and meaningful. They also help children develop independence, focus, and a love for learning at their own pace. It’s inspiring to see how much love and dedication goes into guiding every child. Children feel safe, confident, and excited to learn every day. Nurture Montessori truly lays a strong and positive foundation for a child’s future. Thank you, Mrs. Kokila, for opening Nurture Montessori and creating such a warm, nurturing place for children to learn and grow. Your dedication, vision, and care truly make a meaningful difference in young lives.
Our child went to Ms Kokila's school for almost two years. When he started, he did not know how to hold a pencil for writing or trace any letters. Within a few short weeks, he was tracing letters. Over time, the notebooks he brought home were filled with tracing, letters, and eventually words and sentences. Ms Kokila very patiently taught him math concepts, science facts, grammar rules, phonics, and reasoning, all while supporting his social needs, providing opportunities for him to explore various cultures and holidays, and teaching him to clean up and be neat, organized, orderly. His kindergarten teacher at public school said he was the highest kindergartener she has had in 30 years of teaching. She said he is testing at above third-grade level in math and two years above grade level in reading - and this is all due to Ms Kokila's teaching and learning environment, supported by our family's efforts at home. There is no more apt title for her school than "Nurture" Montessori - your child will truly be nurtured, challenged, educated, and socialized in Ms Kokila's care. We always call her educational facility "school - not "daycare", because she truly teaches the children so much. Thank you, Ms Kokila!!
