Early Childhood Care and Learning in Kirkland

La Petite Academy of Kirkland in Kirkland offers daycare and early learning for young children in a school-style environment. Based on the information available, families may find this center useful for children who need daily care along with a more structured early childhood setting. It appears relevant for toddlers and preschool-age children, though parents may want to confirm the current age groups and program options directly.

Children at La Petite Academy of Kirkland seem to spend their days with teachers and peers in a routine-based environment that supports both care and early independence. One family notes that a child started around 1.5 years old and became more confident and social over time, which suggests the setting may give young children opportunities to participate around other children, follow routines, and become comfortable with group care. That can be especially important for parents looking for a first daycare or an ongoing preschool-style placement.

The atmosphere comes across as caring and personal, with staff members who are described as connected to the children and attentive to family concerns. Parents looking for daycare in Kirkland or a preschool program with a nurturing tone may want to look more closely at La Petite Academy. Since schedules, staffing, and class arrangements can change, families may want to ask about current openings, daily routines, and which age groups are served before enrolling.

I wanted to share how pleased we’ve been with our first two months in the toddler class. The teachers (maral and others) are exceptional, and the facilities—from the clean classroom to the lovely playground—are wonderful. Thank you for taking such great care of our little one!

From the beginning of the enrollment process, there was a significant amount of confusion. I received inconsistent information regarding payment amounts, dates, and next steps. The process felt disorganized and difficult to navigate, which created unnecessary stress. Additionally, our in person experience raised serious concerns. Upon arrival, I had to enter my code multiple times to gain access. Once inside, there was no one available at the front desk to greet us. Although staff members could see us, no one acknowledged us or offered assistance. For a childcare facility, first impressions and customer service are critical. Families entrusting their children to a program should feel welcomed, supported, and reassured. Instead, the environment felt uncomfortable and unwelcoming. There was no sense of ease or guidance, which is especially important when a parent is considering leaving their child in a new setting. The overall experience did not feel organized or secure, and did not leave a positive impression. Cherly, the director, appears overwhelmed and in need of more training to effectively manage the center. Lauren, the district manager, was immediately defensive and difficult to communicate with. I asked her about her tone and made it clear my only objective was to come to a resolution, and her words to me were “this is just how I sound. I don’t even know what’s going on”. If you don’t know, why the attitude? I thought. In an effort to move things along, I calmly asked her what she needed from me, as I already sent an email(text above) detailing the reason for my request for a refund. I asked her to read it, and instead she insisted I re-explain, after I already told her I didn’t want to do that. Reluctantly, I re-explained myself. She assured me that I would get a refund and it would be processed either by check or directly to my account. I made her aware I would prefer my refund be sent directly to my account, considering I didn't write a check and shouldn’t have to wait 4-6 weeks for one to be mailed. Before the call ended, I requested she send a follow up email detailing what we talked about and the next steps for my refund. I waited a few hours and called back. The work day was almost over, and I just wanted to know if she could send that email. “Oh i’m travelling and can’t send an email, but I’ll do it later”. What that meant, I don't know. I asked if she would or would not be sending the email. Her response was “I’ll do my best”. I never received an email. If she couldn’t handle doing that, she shouldn’t have committed to it. The next week came, and I heard nothing from her or Cheryl. One staff member told me they would call back and never did. I called Lauren a total of 12 times and was sent to voicemail each time without a response. I called another center to get Lauren's email. I sent an email and finally received a response with my refund processed date and timeframe being 4-6 weeks, the amount of time for a check as mentioned in our call. At this point, after multiple attempts to resolve the issue directly, I asked to speak with her supervisor. After asking twice, I finally received a call from Stephanie, who also seemed annoyed to be handling the matter but handled it nonetheless. I asked for a follow up email and one was sent. My refund was promptly returned to my account. The process of resolving this issue was insufferable, untimely, and unprofessional. Based on this experience, I will not be returning.
