Kidspace Child Enrichment Center in Vancouver, WA offers a preschool setting for young children who are ready for a more structured early learning experience. The program appears especially relevant for preschool-age children who benefit from a mix of classroom routines, creative projects, and social interaction in a caring environment.
Children at Kidspace may take part in activities that support early reading, math readiness, art, crafts, and hands-on learning. The approach also appears to include nature-focused experiences, which may give children opportunities to spend time outdoors and notice the world around them. For families looking for a preschool that combines academics with creativity, the program seems to offer a balanced day rather than a narrow focus on one subject.
The atmosphere comes across as warm and personal, with teachers described as attentive and supportive. That kind of environment can be especially helpful for children who are new to preschool or who need time to feel comfortable in a group setting. Families may appreciate that the program seems to emphasize each child as an individual, while still encouraging friendships and group participation.
Kidspace may be a strong fit for parents who want their child to experience early literacy, number work, art, and nature-based learning in one place. It also appears well suited for families hoping to prepare a child for kindergarten in a setting that feels nurturing and engaging. Parents may want to contact the center directly for current enrollment details, age requirements, and class availability.
KidSpace is easily the best preschool in Vancouver. My family chose KidSpace before we had even moved to the city - before we’d even figured out what part of town we were going to live in - and I am so thankful. Once we did make the move, I toured several other preschools, including some with consistently long wait lists, and none of them even approached what KidSpace has to offer. Kathy and the teachers have built a meaningful, intentional, educational community, where kids thrive. Because of where my youngest daughter’s birthday fell, she was able to attend for 3 years, and I know our whole family will cherish all the wonderful experiences and memories of her time there forever. Our older daughter was lucky enough to attend multiple summers and I know if she hadn’t aged out, she’d continue to ask to go back. The art opportunities are unparalleled. The focus on social emotional learning is unlike any other. Though the preschool is play focused, your child will absolutely be prepared for kindergarten academically as well. I truly can’t say enough good things!!
Some places are just schools. And then there are places that become a part of your family. ❤️ Kidspace will always be family For the last 3–4 years, this school has been so much more than a preschool and kindergarten for our daughter. It’s been her second home, and the teachers and staff have become people we will forever be grateful to have had in her life. Watching how much they love our daughter has meant more to us than I could ever put into words. They have loved her for exactly who she is like her silliness, her big personality, her creativity, her little quirks, her laughter, and everything that makes her HER. They didn’t just teach her. They truly knew her. They have watched her grow from such a little girl into the amazing kid she is today, and there is something incredibly special about knowing that so many of her earliest memories are filled with people who genuinely cared about her. And to the owner and every teacher who has been part of her journey: thank you. Thank you for every hug, every laugh, every lesson, every encouraging word, every little moment you probably don’t even realize mattered. Thank you for loving my baby so incredibly well. We have always tried to give back and help wherever we could because this school has never felt like just a place we brought our daughter. It has felt like a community we were lucky enough to be a part of. I hope every teacher knows that when you love and care for a child the way you have loved and cared for ours, you become part of that child’s story forever. She may not remember every lesson she learned here, but I know she will carry the confidence, independence, kindness, and love she found here with her for the rest of her life. We love you all more than you know. ❤️ Thank you for giving our daughter a place where she was known, celebrated, safe, and so deeply loved. You will forever hold a very special place in our family’s hearts. 🥹❤️
Ms. Kathy and the entire Kidspace team have made such a lasting impact on our daughter. She was genuinely seen, cared for, and celebrated every day, and she always looked forward to going to school. Their program and approach is phenomenal. Our daughter’s reading skills really took off after mastering her letter sounds, and she developed a real love for math and numbers. Their weekly nature school grew her appreciation for the outdoors, and her social-emotional skills and confidence grew just as much. She made so many great friends along the way! She’s going to miss Kidspace so much, but they’ve prepared her well for kindergarten and beyond!
I have had the opportunity to have my child attend Kidspace for two school years and a summer session. I cannot speak more highly of Kidspace and all of the staff members present. Kathy is an extremely knowledgeable and compassionate individual who sets the stage for how the teachers and children interact. It is apparent how Kathy and the staff invest in the children. This past year, they implemented Kindness Assemblys and invited the parents to attend to support this critical value and moment society needs. The values are all encompassing and deliberate. Students and their families are listened to and treated as family within Kidspace. I never once had to fear if my child was going to be okay after a hard drop off, because the staff proactively engaged and worked through the transition and big emotions. They also have helpful before and aftercare for working parents and those who need it. They have listened to concerns and ideas I have had with an open mind. They provide well balanced snacks. They create an endearing space for kids to be kids with their imaginations and creativity to develop. I wish Kidspace went beyond kindergarten because of the environment that enable kids to thrive and be who they are meant to be and accepted as who they are. Thank you Kathy and all staff for being present and willing to create a positive space for the future generation.
