3 months agoI have had I think four book launches at the Imprint as well as attended a number of other readings and bought books there over the years – it’s always been a wonderful bookstore, but under the new owners it’s truly blossomed – it’s cozy and the staff is extremely warm and friendly and it feels like stepping back in time to place where people leave all of their urgencies outside the door and move at a slower more contemplative pace enhanced by the atmosphere in the store – I just love and treasure this local jewel

5 months agoCame here from Oregon for a book signing event as well as to peruse their bookshop. For as small as it is, I have never come across a better curated collection in a small town establishment. The book signing was wonderful and so well organized. The staff was knowledgeable, gregarious, and very well read. I enjoyed the conversation and found myself retracing the stacks over and over to make sure I didn't miss a hidden treasure. The PNW is spoiled with great bookstores. I mean, Powells is right there for me, but small shops, both new and used, are so precious to civilization, that I can't help myself. Support local bookshops and libraries. Read to your kids. Learn something new. Literature and culture are privileges that no other species on this planet has (at least to this degree). We have a duty to not squander this evolutionary miracle. I can't wait to come back to Port Townsend. Imprint will be a major draw and a top priority, always!
