Happy Valley Montessori School is a preschool in Clackamas at 14543 SE Marci Way, offering a Montessori environment for children from toddlers through kindergarten. This appears to be a small school with a nurturing classroom setting, which may be appealing to parents who want a more personal early learning experience for their child.
Children in this type of program typically work with Montessori materials, spend time on hands-on learning, and move through activities at an individual pace. The setting seems to support both independent work and quiet collaboration, giving younger children a chance to explore while older children may model activities for younger classmates. That mixed-age structure can be helpful for families who want a classroom where children learn in a calm, orderly way.
Parents may especially notice the emphasis on a friendly atmosphere and engaged teachers. The school appears to value patient guidance, communication with families, and a classroom rhythm that keeps children focused without feeling overly rigid. For first-time preschool families, a smaller program like this can feel more approachable than a large center, especially if a child does best in a gentle, consistent environment.
Because the listing does not include specific schedule, tuition, or enrollment information, families may want to confirm those details directly. For parents searching for Montessori preschool or toddler and kindergarten programs in the Clackamas and Happy Valley area, this school may be a strong option to explore further.
We love HVM! Both our small kids have attended and we find the small program size, rich learning environment, and engaged teachers to be fantastic.
Happy Valley Montessori is a beautiful small school that teaches toddlers through Kindergarten. I have one son who just graduated Kindergarten, a 4 yo who will continue to attend, and a younger child who will attend in the future. We love the small nurturing classroom size. We also love the new teacher Ms. Katie who has done a great job both working with the kids and communicating with the parents. Ms. Jamie, who also taught here, recently purchased the school from the original owners who have now retired. I am super excited to see what her energy and creativity will bring in this new roll. The teachers do a great job sparking the children’s imaginations and giving them the tools and time needed to explore and develop their interests in a friendly safe environment. You won't find children fighting, running amuck, or acting disruptive here. You also won't find dominating impatient teachers punishing or shaming the children here. Any disciplinary actions are taken with love and understanding of the child's gentile mind and fragile emotions. What you will find is an amazing classroom full of children from a range of ages all working quietly either together or separately. The older kids teaching and helping the younger ones. All the blocks and "tools" put nicely away the way you wish they'd do at home.
