Guidepost Montessori at South Beaverton offers a Montessori preschool experience in Beaverton for young children who are ready for a structured, hands-on day. The school appears especially relevant for toddlers and preschool-age children, with a classroom approach that lets children work through age-appropriate activities at their own pace while adults guide the learning environment.
Children here may spend their day doing practical and academic-style Montessori work such as washing windows, sorting shapes, completing puzzles, and painting at an easel. That mix of movement, concentration, and hands-on tasks can help children stay engaged without feeling rushed. Families looking for a preschool that offers both routine and variety may appreciate the balance between independent work and teacher support.
The staff is described as warm, knowledgeable, and professional, and the Head of School and Lead Guide seem to play an active role in creating a welcoming classroom community. Parents may find it helpful that the school shares regular updates and photos, which can make it easier to stay connected to a child’s day. The program also appears to emphasize responsibility and self-reliance in a way that is appropriate for young learners.
This may be a strong fit for families who want a Montessori preschool in Beaverton with a thoughtful classroom culture, organized instruction, and a community feel. Parents considering enrollment may want to ask about current age groups, schedule options, and how the classroom is structured for children at different stages.
Guidepost Montessori South Beaverton has been a wonderful experience for our family. Amy, the Head of School, is fantastic—always approachable, supportive, and truly cares about the families. Our daughter’s Lead Guide, Maya, is amazing with the children and creates such a warm and engaging classroom environment. We feel so grateful to have both of them guiding our daughter’s growth and learning!
Only send your children here if you are comfortable with the admin keeping it silent that Hand-Foot-and mouth disease are running rampant through the students. For 2 weeks parents were not notified of a rather contagious sickness going around. They want your money but do not provide a safe service in exchange. Run away from this school
This school is excellent—our 3 daughters attended, the teachers are outstanding, and the head of school is kind and well-organized. However, families should be aware of significant issues with Guidepost Corporate (GGE). We have been waiting more than 72+ days for a substantial deposit refund for services never provided. GGE has shown no urgency, offers no prioritization, and communication has been essentially nonexistent. There is much for GGE to improve on—if they expect parents to pay premium Montessori fees, they must show that same level of monetary respect in return. In short: a terrific school, but a deeply flawed corporate system.
We love Guidepost Montessori! We struggled to find a place that made us feel comfortable having our children all day - and finally feel at home with Guidepost. There is a great community of teachers and parents here, with well organized events and detailed newsletters and updates so you feel connected to your children throughout the day.
