Eastside Bilingual Montessori offers a Montessori preschool experience in Kirkland with bilingual learning in Spanish and English. For children in the preschool years, the classroom likely combines hands-on Montessori work, early academics, and daily language exposure in a structured environment. Families looking for a program where children can build comfort with both languages may find this especially relevant, along with the school’s focus on early independence and classroom routine.
Children in a setting like this may work with Montessori materials, practice early literacy and math, and participate in group experiences that support communication and cooperation. The bilingual format means children hear both Spanish and English throughout the day, which may be appealing to families who want language-rich early learning without losing the practical, day-to-day feel of a preschool classroom. The program appears suitable for young children who do well with consistency and familiar teachers.
Parents may also appreciate that the school seems to place importance on communication with families and on creating a strong classroom community. The overall environment comes across as nurturing, organized, and academically focused while still being age-appropriate for little ones. Families searching for bilingual preschool in Kirkland, Spanish English preschool, or Montessori early education may want to explore Eastside Bilingual Montessori further, especially if they value a school experience that supports both learning and family connection.
We’ve had a great experience at EBM. Our older child attended for several years and started kindergarten this fall completely ready both academically and socially. Miss Mabel, Miss Zenaida and Miss Maria did an amazing job in his class. The director, Miss Mariela has been working with kids for decades and she's really an expert in Montessori teaching techniques. Now our younger one, who’s 3, is attending and absolutely loves going every morning. He's in the saturno class with Ms. Joy, Ms Maria and Ms Paty, they are super kind, and know how to connect with each child. Communication with families has improved over the years, they now implemented an app where we get a better communication with teachers and the director. We truly recommend this school and we’re very grateful for the community we are creating with the other families!
With our third child now at EBM, our loyalty is evident…but writing here to also share our appreciation and passion for the entire staff, the care that they bring in developing amazing independence in our little ones, and of course the ability to teach social and emotional skills in both Spanish and English. We continue to be impressed by the evolving curriculum and multi sensory learning they bring to the children every day. As a mixed household, beyond rigor of curriculum and care of staff, ensuring our children were in an environment with native Spanish speakers was also critical to us (along with convenience in hours, location, pickup/dropoff process etc.) Eastside Bilingual Montessori has far exceeded our expectations on all fronts. Thank you EBM for being an incredible part of the proverbial village for our 3 chiquititos. ❤️❤️
My daughter is attending the school for the third year, and I can't speak well enough about it. The curriculum might be the best in the entire Seattle area, and on top of that, it is bilingual, so kids get incredibly well prepared for kindergarten. The staff is also incredible, they are very loving with the kids --which I value very much at this tender age-- and they have teaching backgrounds, some of them with decades of experience. All of that combined makes it a perfect learning, loving, and fun atmosphere for young kids to learn. My daughter absolutely loves going to school and I'm very glad, and very thankful, that we made this choice for her!!
Teachers are all very caring and pleasant. The atmosphere is warm, and I feel fortunate that my son is able to attend EBM. We will be sending our second son there when he old enough to attend.
We loved the school, and sad to leave because of moving. The teachers are all very caring, and our kid loved it there, in fact the very first time she went, she didn't want to leave when we came to pick her up! Ms Mariela is very knowledgeable, experienced and really listens to parents and open to share ideas and support in child's growth and development. Spanish is a big bonus for families who want their kids to be bilingual, and I've heard from many other parents about their kids learning Spanish and staying fluent even years after graduating. Highly recommend the school!
