atdStudios in Seattle offers a wide range of dance classes and movement-based fitness options in a welcoming studio environment. While much of the available information highlights adult classes, the studio can still be useful for parents looking for a place to take classes while waiting for a child nearby, or for families with older children and teens interested in dance training and movement practice.
Participants can expect classes that include styles such as barre, tap, jazz, belly dance, ballroom, and cardio-based formats. The experience seems to be structured and instructor-led, with classes that vary enough to keep regular attendees engaged. For parents, this suggests a studio that is less about open play and more about scheduled classes where students follow choreography, combinations, or fitness-driven movement patterns.
The atmosphere appears friendly and beginner-friendly, with a community feel and a positive tone that may help new participants feel comfortable. Drop-in availability is a practical advantage for busy families and adults with changing schedules. Specific children’s age groups are not provided, so parents should check directly if they are looking for youth programming rather than adult classes.
atdStudios may be a convenient option in Seattle’s University District area for parents who want flexible dance or fitness classes, as well as for older kids or teens who are ready for a more structured studio setting.

9 months agoATD Studios is a fantastic studio! In her Barre classes, Moira gives just the right amount of variation between exercises and equipment changes, as well as among half-time reps, tempo reps and pulses, so you get a great workout without being bored. Maygan’s Cardio Tap and Cardio Jazz classes are fun and leave you super sweaty. Maygan improvises modifications to more experienced dancers so the combos stay fresh and interesting. I also really enjoyed Rebecca’s advanced ballet class, so hopefully they’ll bring that back one day as her beginning adult students thrive under her excellent tutelage! Although I have less experience in other classes, I have also really enjoyed Sarah’s Belly Dance, Sam’s Groove3, and Celia’s Couples Ballroom classes. All the instructors and the students are warm and welcoming, so it’s definitely worth trying some classes if you like to dance! I highly recommend signing up for a class if you’re waiting for a child who’s in a class at All That Dance - it feels a lot better than staring at a phone for an hour!

9 months agoatdStudios offer a wide variety of dance/exercise classes at different times and days at a very convenient location. Their great instructors are skilled, experienced, passionate and nice. There is a core group of participants forming a friendly community. I have been taking classes there for 3 years and will continue go there for fun, health and fitness.

10 months agoUpdated Review: My love for ATD Studios hasn't changed, but I wanted to update my review since my last one was a few years ago. ATD Studios continues to grow with the addition of more amazing classes where you can build community and sweat and feel good together. Adding to my list of favorites are Urban Dance Fitness where both your brain and body are challenged (in a good way) and Funky Fit where movements are slower and more intentional. Thank you to all of the amazing staff and attendees for making it so enjoyable! ------ Original Review 3 years ago: I love ATD Studios! The classes offered are all wonderful, but my absolute favorites are barre and cardio tap. Challenging and super fun workouts that leave you feeling sore (in a good way!) and proud of yourself. The instructors are fabulous and have great taste in music. The space is roomy and inviting with good air flow. There's even a garage door that they will open when it isn't too stormy out. Working out with ATD Studios is one of my weekly highlights.
