ABC German School Inc

Our two kids have attended ABC for the past year. Our 3-year-old attends school and after-care, and our 6-year-old attends Kindergarten on Wednesdays. We've observed a transformation in their German comprehension and confidence. The Kindergarten class with Bianca is our daughter's favorite after-school activity. Every teacher is dedicated, caring, and speaks natively. We are fortunate to have found this school, staff, and community. The hours are great

We feel incredibly fortunate to have found ABC German School. The teachers are dedicated, warm, and genuinely invested in each child. They bring so much creativity into the daily curriculum—blending art, music, culture, nature, baking, science and drama in ways that feel fun and thoughtfully educational. I especially appreciate their commitment to speaking exclusively in German with the children. The consistent immersion feels natural, which, in turn, encourages them to respond in German as their confidence grows. Our child also attended Kindertreff aftercare, which provided a wonderful balance to the morning program. In the afternoons, children from different classes come together for a separate themed curriculum with plenty of outdoor time and free play mixed in. That format helped nurture some of our child's first and strongest friendships. Beyond the classroom, the school has a strong and welcoming community. The connections we have made have extended well beyond school events and keep the German language and cultural connection present beyond the preschool years.

ABC German School is hands-down the best immersion program for families interested in having their children learn not just German, but the German traditions and culture. My daughter attended when she was 3- 5 years of age and the German she learned at such a young age (with no background) still stays with her today. She even studied in Germany in college for a summer! In addition, the ABC parent community is wonderful. I still see and keep in touch with many of the families from so long ago. At ABC, your child effortlessly learns German by engaging in normal activities of learning, play and mealtime. The mealtime, that still exists today, was honestly a big selling point for us. Teaching young ones to sit at a table together, teaches not only patience and etiquette, but also fosters community. I recently was able to visit the newer location of ABC Schule and was so excited to see the larger classrooms and facilities. The warmth and care that Nadja and staff have toward the children while teaching them another language is invaluable. As an American mom, I was at first hesitant, "What if my child does not understand what the teachers are saying?" Well, that was very short-lived and my child learned extremely quickly with no troubles. A second language is the best gift you can give your child! Our daughter fell in love with the German ABC school within the first ten minutes of doing a tour there for the Mini Me program. Of course, we did too. Nadja and all of the other teachers were so friendly and informative. But most of all she felt so comfortable around them and in the school. Ever since our first tour she’s been excited for German school and announces her excitement about it and her classmate days in advance of the next class. She’s not even two yet and knows multiple kids names, remembers what they did in class, and loves sharing her art with us. Each weekly session with the Mini Me class is structured and includes circle time, classic German kindergarten songs, and an interactive activity - like painting a hedgehog, using an apple as a stamp to make a tree, and making a snowman covered in fake snow. Not only is she having fun and learning but the parent connection is beyond what we expected and there has been almost always a monthly event for everyone in the school to come together. We couldn't recommend the Mini Me class more highly.
