Goldfish Swim School – Puyallup offers swimming lessons in Puyallup at 3500 S Meridian Unit 900-30 for babies, toddlers, and older children learning to feel comfortable in the water. The setting appears especially family-friendly, with seating for parents and a program designed to help children progress through lessons at a steady pace.
Families enrolling here can expect structured swim instruction rather than open swim. Children work with coaches in a consistent lesson format, and the school appears to support swimmers at different stages, from very young babies to school-age children. That makes it a practical option for families looking for kids swim lessons in Puyallup with a clear progression path. The warm-water environment may also be more comfortable for little ones who are just starting out.
For parents, the convenience details matter too. The facility is described as organized and easy to navigate, with ample seating and accommodating scheduling support. That can make a difference for families juggling multiple routines. The staff is described as patient and professional, which may be reassuring for children who are new to lessons or need time to build confidence in the pool. Parents may want to check current class openings and age-specific lesson options directly with the school.

5 months agoWe love goldfish swim school. My son has made tremendous progress in a short period of time. All the coaches have been great, professional and made my kid feel comfortable. The staff have been very accommodating with schedules and when we couldn't find a class time that worked for our schedule they were able to create one. The customer service is great, but it's the thorough quality swim instruction that sets them apart from other places.

6 months agoWe have had such a good experience at the Puyallup Goldfish. I can tell they work hard to maintain good staffing, and have an excellent, uniform, consistent training program for the kids that all instructors follow. It's easy to come and go, and there is always lots of seating for parents.
Last night, there was a fire alarm, and all the staff stayed calm and got our kids out of the pool safely. When we finally got out to the kids, the instructors had bundled them in their own towels and were standing there shivering themselves. I had to write a review because I appreciated that, and have appreciated them since we started!

6 months agoHighly recommend Goldfish, especially for babies. I started my daughter on swim lessons when she was 5 months old. Since then, I have watched her confidence soar in the water. At 10 months, she has begun to utilize the skills she's been learning and does this adorable version of doggy paddling (that my best friend called puppy paddling). Overall, this school is a great place for little ones to build confidence in and around water!

4 months agoWe signed up for a trial session because my 4 y/o has never been in the water and finally showed excitement and interest . Being that it’s only a 30 minute class with 3 other students I didn’t have high expectations but little did I know it was enough time for them to decide he isn’t welcomed in group or individual lessons because he poses a safety concern. They didn’t give him a chance to learn and in my opinion it’s laziness on their end. My son is very active and doesn’t always sit still but he is learning. We were only welcome to their family swim time. No other accommodation or suggestions were made. Very discouraging.

2 months ago30 minutes is nothing for the time and effort spent to help a small child drive to and from, and have them take a shower and change into and out of swim clothes. $145/Mon is a lot of money and it is too much for the tiny amount of time . Worse, they went on vacation and closed the school cancelling every class an entire week...no refund. That's extremely dishonest, it's breech of contract, and the Manager argued with a 100% disabled Veteran that they were not "allowed" to cancel the membership. Bad luck, they don't call the shots actually you can cancel ANYTIME and change your credit card number and they aren't allowed to take advantage of families with no apology and charge money for service not rendered that's actually illegal. Don't let them bully you. And the Management is sure to come make argumentative and dismissive remarks to this review like they do everyone else as if you all aren't intelligent enough to see right through that unethical behavior. They don't offer solutions to customer complaints, they make excuses not to accept honest feedback that would greatly improve their services and the customer experience. Namely...everyone...that complains about the short amount of time the classes last. Then lying and saying "childrens attention spans can't handle longer classes" an obvious falsehood due to the fact we all have children and darn well know better than that. Children happily engaged in an activity have hyperfocus actually. Be honest Management and say that's how you make a profit cramming as many classes per day in as possible and that's why they are so short, don't lie to people and say it's because children can't "handle" longer classes which is a disrespectful false statement. Listen to your customers and stop arguing and making excuses. Apologize and re-approach your choices. Don't shame or make false statements to the people that pay your bills and salaries that disrespect is inexcusable. You wouldn't have gotten this long, detailed, 100% accurate bad review if you made more responsible choices and hadn't argued with a disabled veteran with a heart condition that they were not "allowed" to cancel swim classes, especially after you guys were trying to charge us for a week of classes when you were closed and providing no services. Maybe you would have offered "makeup classes" at some point but you didn't and you knew you were doing wrong and you're not the Boss. You have zero authority to tell people they can't cancel a service that has proved a hardship to their family. You also cannot charge for services not rendered, AND, you have no business arguing and making false statements. Clean up Management, get someone honest and responsible in there and you might save your struggling business.
